„Wunderschönes Stadthotel in der Nähe der historischen Ausgrabungen mit sehr herzlicher Gastfreundschaft

Sehr zentrale Lage, eigene Parkplätze. Wir konnten das Auto stehen lassen und zu Fuß z. B. die Ausgrabungen besichtigen. Auch die Kathedrale und viele Restaurants waren sehr nah. Das Zimmer war sehr schön und das Frühstück im Garten außergewöhnlich gut. Der Gastgeber ist sehr freundlich, kümmert sich sehr um seine Gäste und hat viele sehr hilfreiche Tipps gegeben.

Es war alles wunderbar. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

„Uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert und sehr gutes Preis-Leisungsverhöltnis

Sehr freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Inhaber, der uns von der ersten Minute an herzlich empfangen und mit sehr guten Tipps schon vor und während der Reise umsorgt hat. Die Unterkunft ist ruhig und fusslöufig zum Eingang der Ausgrabungen gelegen. Das Frühstück war sehr gut und das Dreibettzimmer im Garten das wir belegt hatten mit Klimaanlage ausgestattet und sehr sauber. Das Besondere ist aber vor allem die Herzlichkeit von Gaetano, der sich um seine Gäste als wahrer Gastgeber kümmert.

„Serviceparadies in Pompei

Die Lage ist sehr gut. Nur ca 750 m vom Eingang der Ruinen entfernt. Erwähnenswert ist die unfassbare Hilfsbereitschaft und Freundlichkeit der Inhaberfamilie. Wir lernten den Vater und seine 3 Kinder, die alle mitarbeiten, kennen. Und so viel Herzlichkeit haben wir noch nie erlebt. Beispiel….am Abreisetag war unser Auto stark verschmutzt. War in der Nacht passier, vermutlich Staubregen. Wir fragten nach einer Waschanlage in der Nähe,die es aber nicht gab. Der älteste Sohn hat dann unser Auto mit einem Gartenschlauch abgesprüht und die Scheiben extra gereinigt. Wir haben uns in dem Hotel sehr Wohl gefühlt.

„Hotel mit gehobenem Anspruch in guter Lage.

Die Lage nahe der archäologischen Stätte Pompeii ist super, auch die Stadt kann man fußläufig erkunden. Das Personal ist außergewöhnlich aufmerksam und gastfreundlich. Auch die Terrasse und der Aussenbereich sind super, zum Beispiel auch für das durchaus gute Frühstück. Auch der Parkplatz direkt am Hotel ist ein Plus.

Wir hatten ein Zimmer auf Terrassenlevel ohne echtes Tageslicht, da wir ein Milchlglasfenster und ein nicht funktionierendes Innenrollo hatten. Das passt nicht zu den 4 Sternen und auch nicht zum Zimmerpreis. Unser Zimmer war zudem recht klein - zu den anderen Zimmern kann ich natürlich nichts sagen.

Perfect host, clean and comfortable, and an excellent location for Roman sites and dining.

Excellent front of house host. He anticipated our needs, made great recommendations for dining, routed us to the sites we wanted to see, managed our parking and even helped us with our bags; one could ask for no more. Spacious room and nice breakfast, either outdoors in the courtyard, in the glass conservatory, or inside in the small breakfast room. Table service staff - for coffee, etc. - was attentive. Parking is directly in front of the hotel and very convenient compared to many town centre hotels in Italy. I suggest reserving a spot when booking.

Hard to think. The location is very near town centre (good for us) and is set back from the main through-road behind a petrol station, so not as picturesque as some Naples hotels, but the location is PERFECT for Pompeii site visits (an easy walk to the southernmost gate), and also evening dining (with many choices in quality and cost very close by).

Perfect staff. Best stay we had in all of Italy (better than 4 star hotels in Rome!)

Book this place!! We weren’t expecting much because it was an affordable hotel and we were only staying for one night. But wow! From the moment we arrived, we already knew this would be the best hotel we stayed at during our entire Italian vacation (and we stayed at 3-4 star hotels across the country). The staff were incredible! They drew us a map to everything we wanted (markets for specific items we wanted, best restaurants, etc), they have a short cut that gets you to the archeological site with a 5 minute walk and gets you to the main restaurant strip in 3 minutes. Perfect location, perfect service. They even went above and beyond: when we were just sitting on the patio, the concierge came out with lemon waters on a silver tray (totally out of his way and totally free). We were leaving too early to attend breakfast, so they packed us a fresh breakfast and woke up early to see us off. They are the best.

Would stay again.

The host was exceptional! We also had a rental car and had the Pompeii ruins and Vesuvius tour booked the day we checked out. He held our luggage for us and let us park our rental until 9p for free! The location is also great, just 5-10 minutes walk to the key areas.

If we are ever back to Pompeii we hope to stay at Grand Royal Hotel again.

The proprietor was excellent! His personality and energy and how he treated us was above and beyond. He was the highlight of our trip so far. Breakfast was excellent and all service was so good. We were treated like guests in someone's home.
